Posting & Promotion Activities Policy

  • No tape, adhesive, tacks or other mechanical devices may be used to attach signs to Memorial Union property. These regulations apply to all rooms, furniture, woodwork, windows, floors, walls as well as the parking ramp and all exterior surfaces.
  • Posting on hallway standards is allowed, but only for events in the Memorial Union, and only on the day of the event. See below for advertising non-MU events.
  • “For Sale ” and similar flyers may be posted on the board in the west basement hallway between Rooms 0367 and 0355
  • Distribution of literature is allowed in the foyers of the East and West Student Office Space on First floor under guidelines established by Student Union Board. Call 515-294-8081.
  • Student and campus organizations may use banners, display cases, and First floor information booths and tables in Memorial Union for promotions. Student Union Board establishes these guidelines. Call 515-294-1437 for information, but sign-ups must be in person between 8am and 5pm , Monday – Friday in the Event Management Office on 3rd floor.
  • Student and campus organizations may sign up for table tents in the Food Court in the Student Office Space East, first floor, Mon. - Fri. 8 a.m. till 5 p.m.
  • Solicitors, sales persons, peddlers or canvassers seeking student contact may NOT use public areas in the Memorial union.
