General MU Facility Policies

• Guests and patrons are expected to maintain the orderliness of the building.

• Property belonging to the Memorial Union may not be taken from the building or moved from one part of the building to another without assistance from and approval of Memorial Union staff. Anyone found to be in unlawful possession of, or damaging property belonging to the Memorial Union will be subject to disciplinary action.

• Service animals are the only kind of animal allowed in the Memorial Union.

• Bicycles, roller blades and skateboards are not allowed in the Memorial Union, on the Memorial Union Terrace, or adjacent Firsts.

• The Memorial Union is a non-smoking facility.

• Non-University students under eighteen years of age may use Memorial Union facilities when accompanied by a parent or adult.

• Loitering and overnight sleeping in public Memorial Union spaces are not allowed.

• Controlled substances, firearms, and gambling are not allowed in the Memorial Union.

• All outstanding charges for prior events and services must be paid by the sponsoring organization before the organization can schedule its next event.
