Art Submission for Student Juried Exhibit

The Memorial Union is issuing a call for artwork made by Iowa State University students. Up to three pieces in any media may be submitted for consideration in the 2018 Apex Exhibit. Around 40 pieces will be chosen by juror Heather Johnson, artist and Director of the Octagon Center for the Arts. The exhibit will be on display March 30 – April 23 in the Gallery at the Memorial Union. 

Artwork may be dropped off on Tuesday, March 27 between 9am and 1pm in the Gallery on the 3rd floor of the MU. Be sure to read about how to prepare artwork for entry and guidelines.

A reception will be held on Wednesday, April 11 at 6pm to recognize exhibiting artists. Ms. Johnson will speak about her path to becoming director of an art center, and announce the award winners including best of show, merit, honorable mention and the purchase award.
