Band pictures of Lipstick Homicide and Bat Problem

The M-Shop closes down the fall semester at Iowa State with a rocking good show featuring Iowa City-based punk pop favorites Lipstick Homicide and the newly established Des Moines rock band Bat Problem!

Lipstick Homicide is a riot-grrrl influenced punk band with pop sensibilities that has been an Iowa City staple since the 2010’s. This trio of BFF’s has toured extensively across the US, Canada, and Europe and have made their mark as old school DIY pop punk veterans. Their sound has been described by some as “gay Green Day.”

Bat Problem is the newest rock outfit from 31st Street, Des Moines, Ia. Comprised of veteran musicians, Michael Clabaugh, Jordan Mayland, and Chris Lachky, the band hit the ground running. Their brand new single, “Bare Wires,” was just released in October and the debut album is set for early 2026 for vinyl and streaming. Bat Problem is ready to bring their fun fast paced show and music to the people!

Local rock duo Sunchoke will open the show!
