Private Laurence E Neff was born August 20, 1899 and grew up in Earlham, Iowa. He was the son of Nelle E. Neff.
Laurence graduated from Earlham High School in 1918 and came to Iowa State College that fall as part of the Student Army Training Corps, Company 10.
He died of influenza on October 13, 1918.
