Biography

Romeo Willis Cox was the son of Mrs. W. C. Cox.

He came to Iowa State College from his hometown of Childress, Texas. Romeo graduated ISU in 1918 and soon after enlisted in the Army at Camp Dodge, Iowa, on April 29.

The Army transferred him to Camp Travis in Texas for training. He sailed to France on July 19, 1918 with the 358th Infantry, Company H.

He was killed in action by machine gun fire on September 12, 1918 at St. Mihiel, France.
