According to Webster’s Dictionary, the definition of community is “an interacting population of various kinds of individuals in a common location”, which is exactly what many student organizations represented by MU Student Activities do. For example, ISU AfterDark focuses on bringing different and interactive events to the Memorial Union once a month to provide entertainment in a safe and welcoming environment. You can physically go bowling or dance, think creatively and work with your hands in the Workspace, laugh and sing to Karaoke, get competitive at Bingo, remember the experience through the photo booth, learn about other student organizations, and engage in a Q&A with the 9pm and 11pm Great Hall performer. ISU AfterDark is a perfect way to participate in a variety of activities, get involved, hang out with friends, and meet new people.
